Sealift Inc. is a privately held company, incorporated in New York, established in 1975. Originally Sealift was a shipbrokerage house specializing in paper, rice, general cargo and operating breakbulk liner services to the Mediterranean and from Brazil. Today, the Company operates half a dozen U.S. Flag, ocean-going ships and charters in dozens of foreign flag vessels annually. We are one of the largest (non-US flag) ocean transportation contractors for U.S. Government Food Aid cargoes. All operations, chartering, engineering, crewing, IT and accounting are handled by the Oyster Bay, New York office. Sealift's assets are its people and their skills. Everyone plays an important role and adheres to the highest professional standards. The company is ISM approved and ISO 9001:2000 certified.
